Be inspired and refreshed with a lively burst of yuzu, then embrace the warm notes of sandalwood as the scent develops.

The unique smell of yuzu has been perfectly complimented with other citrus oils of cold pressed lime, pink grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, and mandarin. These essential oils maintain and support the unique fresh aroma of yuzu. This is then layered with lavender and rosemary to add a gentle floral herbaceous note.

To maintain the vibrant citrus aromas, delicate woody base notes of hinoki wood, sandalwood, and white frankincense were added, along with a dash of patchouli which gives the blend some warmth.

The creation of Yuzu and Sandalwood perfume

Once you have smelt yuzu, you instantly fall in love with its vibrant citrus aromas.

Most of the yuzu is cultivated in Japan and the fruit peel is extensively used in Japanese cuisine; however, the essential oil from this rare citrus fruit is becoming popular all around the world. There is no other citrus fruit in the world like it. The best way to describe the scent of yuzu is an infusion of lemon, lime, grapefruit, and orange – all in one!

I have dearly wanted to create a perfume with yuzu for a long time, but the challenge is to maintain the fresh aromas of the yuzu oil. I am so excited after many years of experimenting to launch our delicious yuzu and sandalwood perfume. Yes, there is no other word but delicious to describe this perfume. It has a light, refreshing and uplifting quality that is also comforting and calming.

    Perfect everyday perfume

    I have become hyper sensitive to wearing scents. Not for myself, but for others. This perfume is subtle and fresh scent, and is only discernible by those who come into close contact with me. I love this quiet intimacy. Unlike old fashioned perfumes that intrude loudly on others, this perfume speaks only to those welcomed into my personal space.

    An otherworldly perfume

    The scent of this perfume is so multifaceted. It evokes the sacred sandalwood of Catholic mass mixed with the fruity Yuzu abundance of summertime, grounded with the earthiness and expansiveness of patchouli. Deeply spiritual and uplifting, I use it when meditating.
