    Love it, while it lasts

    Love the scent but it doesn't last more than 1-2 hours tops. I can get a red rash reaction to standard perfumes - no reaction with this one though.

    It is wonderful to hear that the scent is a hit and, more importantly, that it is gentle enough for sensitive skin. The difference in longevity between natural and commercial fragrances usually comes down to the ingredients used to make them stick.

    Standard commercial perfumes typically rely on synthetic fixatives and phthalates. These are engineered chemicals specifically designed to "glue" the scent to the skin and slow down the evaporation process for many hours. Natural perfumes eschew these synthetics in favour of pure essential oils and botanical extracts. Because these natural ingredients are volatile by their very nature, they tend to evaporate more quickly when they come into contact with the warmth of the skin.

    While the wear time is shorter, the benefit is a cleaner experience without the harsh chemicals that often trigger the redness or irritation mentioned. To help the fragrance linger a little longer, applying it to well-moisturised skin can create a barrier that slows down evaporation.

    I'm quite underwhelmed with Turkish Moon, to be frank. (No pun intended) I've been using PP fragrances for quite some time - absolutely adore Wisdom and Green Goddess. Turkish Moon does not wear well. It fades very,very quickly.
