Method of Extraction: Cold Pressed
Aroma Profile: An orange-brown to dark yellowish-brown oil with an intensely sweet, citrus odour.
Uses: Known as ‘the children’s remedy’ because of its soothing qualities. It is beneficial during times of stress. Cheerful, gentle, peaceful and uplifting. It allows one to get in touch with one’s inner child.
Subtle: The scent of Mandarin breathes a message of positivity and happiness. It opens and softens the emotional heart to reveal the joy within.
Chakra: sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakra
Skin care: Use for the treatment of congested, devitalized, and oily skin.

Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitising. There are no contraindications.

Add 5-7 drops to your Perfect Potion diffuser, or add 5 drops to every 10ml of pure vegetable oil to use as a massage oil.

The typical chemical composition of mandarin oil is a-thujone (0.76-0.96%), a-pinene (2.12-2.54%), camphene (0.02%) sabinene(0.24-0.29%), b-pinene (0.25-1.82%), myrcene(1.69-1.77%), limonene (67.92-74.00%), g-terpinolene (16.78-21.02%), linalool (0.05-0.16%), citronellal (0.02-0.04%), terpinen-4-oll (0.02-0.06%), nerol (0.01-0.02%), geranial (0.03-0.06%).

Because pure plant extracts and essential oils are naturally potent, we always recommend patch-testing a small amount before full use. For pure essential oils, dilute with a carrier oil before applying to the skin or use in atmospheric diffusion, or choose our pre-formulated mists, balms, and skincare ranges designed for direct topical application.

    My favourite

    Mandarin has been my favourite oil for well over a decade. I find it such a happy, balancing, comforting scent. Often blend with other citrus and sometimes something deeper (sandalwood) for a more resonant vaporiser combo. Multi-purpose in so many contexts.
