Method of Extraction: Water distillation
Aroma Profile: A pale-yellow oil with a sweet, spicy aroma.
Uses: Clove bud is energising and purifying, it creates a warm, festive mood. Traditionally used as an antimicrobial.
Subtle: Clove bud prepares us for action, it helps us move forward and make things happen. It provides us with the confidence we need to handle tough times.
Chakra: Base and Solar plexus chakra.
Skin care: Not commonly used in skincare.

Cautions: Clove bud oil has been reported to be a potential skin irritant and sensitising agent. No known contraindications exist.

The typical composition of clove bud oil is eugenol (80-85%), eugenyl acetate (8-12%), caryophyllene (6-10%), isocaryophyllene (0-2.0%)
