BOTANICAL NAME: Ocimum basilicum
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Egypt
METHOD OF EXTRACTION: Steam Distillation
AROMA PROFILE: A pale yellow or almost colourless oil with a sweet-spicy, slightly green fresh top note, a balsamic -woody undertone and lasting sweetness.
USES: Basil relieves mental fatigue and promotes focus.
SUBTLE: Basil encourages positivity, assertivness, clarity and focus.
CHAKRA: Solar plexus, throat and third eye chakra.
SKIN CARE: Not commonly used in skincare.

CAUTIONS: Should not be used topically in the presence of UV light (i.e. sunbaking, sunbeds) as it may cause photosensitivity.
