The Lead Up

In 1986, electrical engineer (and natural therapy student) Salvatore Bataglia starts selling his herb-based skincare at the markets under the name Sal’s Herb Garden. The following year, Carolyn Stubbin joins Sal and the pair re-brands to The Garden Party. Two years later, Sal leaves his full-time engineering job and moves The Garden Party from his parent’s kitchen to a manufacturing premise on Zillmere Road, Brisbane.
