Since the day we opened our doors in 1991, Perfect Potion has actively promoted reusing before recycling. As part of our ecoBiz 3-Star rating, in the past 24 months we have reduced our energy by 53%, our water intensity by 75% and our waste to landfill by 65%. More recently, Perfect Potion became solar powered, making our Head Office and labs close to being completely self-sufficient, often putting energy back into the grid. Since we began generating solar power, Perfect Potion has saved over 48,000kg of C02 emission, the equivalent of 162 trees planted.
To continue on our mission to save the environment and reduce pressure on recycling companies, we have recently reintroduced Deodorant Refill Stations in store, allowing you to reuse your glass bottles and save money at the same time. Based on our deodorant sales from 2018, if we were ALL to utilise the refill service, we would save approximately 16,000 deodorant bottles per year! Imagine the positive impact this would have on our environment and Australia’s recycling companies. You can now take your clean, empty glass deodorant bottles with the label intact to selected stores to refill, and receive $5 off. We are so thrilled to be fully transitioning to glass and aluminium packaging for our products. Not only is glass 100% reusable and recyclable, 80% of the glass that is recovered after recycling is made into new glass products. A glass container can also go from a recycling bin to a store shelf in as little as 30 days, making it the best choice for our packaging and refill service.
