Method of extraction
A typical analysis of Backhousia citriadora essential oil is as follows: Î²-pinene (trace - 0.5 %), linalool (trace - 0.4 %), Î²-carophylene (trace - 0.4 %), neral (35.0 - 40.0 %), geranial (55.0 - 60.0 %), citronellal (0.01 - 1.0 %), methyl heptonone (trace - 0.4 %), cyclocitral (trace - 0.5 %), myrcene (trace - 0.5 %).
Lemon myrtle is steam distilled from Backhousia citriodora, an evergreen native to southern Queensland. The oil has an intense lemony aroma which is uplifting and invigorating.
Add 5 drops to oil vaporiser with water or 5 drops to every 10ml carrier oil.
