Have you missed your warm summer glow?!
Specially designed to dissolve dead skin cells, our Papaya Enzyme Mask is bursting with a multitude of natural extracts and active ingredients that will uncover fresh, and vibrantly beautiful skin. It’s nothing short of magic and utter deliciousness!
How does it work?
Exfoliation is an essential part of maintaining a smooth, clean complexion. Over time, dead skin cells build up on the surface of our skin causing the clogged pores, blemishes and blackheads that leave a dull, lacklustre complexion.
Unearth new, young skin cells and encourage skin cell regeneration, by creating a weekly facial ritual that includes deep exfoliation to buff away these built up cells. Our cleansing cocktail of natural extracts does exactly that – acts as a natural exfoliant – lifting out any impurities and dissolving dead surface skin cells for an instant and luminous glow!
These star ingredients will reveal your natural radiance
Sweet, succulent, luscious papayas are not just a treat for your taste buds, they’re also amazing for your skin! The secret to papaya’s skin beautifying properties lies in its high levels of vitamin A and the enzyme papain. Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant that helps prevent and reverse free radical damage and slows the breakdown of your skin’s collagen. Papain works as a highly effective natural exfoliator, breaking down proteins and dissolving dead cells to reveal bright, vibrant, younger-looking skin!
Yellow clay has the wonderful ability to draw out and absorb impurities. It is known to increase blood flow, boosting oxygen supply to your face and bringing forth a healthy, rosy glow. Yellow clay has an incredibly high mineral content and is especially rich in titanium, potassium and silica, which are the catalysts for collagen formation.
Collagen is the protein structure that holds the skin together, giving it firmness, elasticity and youthful radiance. We have all heard about commercial products claiming to have collagen in them, however; did you know that there are many ways to boost collagen production naturally? The silica in yellow clay is one such way. Silica deeply penetrates the layers of the epidermis and stimulates the regrowth of collagen to leave skin plump and hydrated!!
Colloidal Oat flour
Oats have been used by the ancient Greeks, Romans, Arabians and Egyptians as early as 2000 BC to heal and beautify the skin! Herbalists have long recommended them as a wonderful soothing agent and the Food and Drug Administration cites them as effective for alleviating dryness! Full of polysaccharides, proteins, vitamins, minerals and lipids, oats are well known to nourish your skin and leave it soft, clear and full of moisture! The star performer, however, is the beta-glucan oats contain. Beta-glucan forms a fine, but long-lasting protective film over the skin and penetrates deep into skin cells providing both protection and much-needed moisture.
Pure Essential Oils
Pure essential oils of ylang ylang, patchouli and petitgrain will balance, tone and regenerate your complexion and are all wonderful for soothing blemished and acne-prone skin.
How will Papaya Enzyme Mask make you feel?
We asked some of our beautiful customers and Perfect Potion family why they loved this mask so much… here’s what they had to say!!
All of our team are over the moon that it is back… our retail operations manager Jenny says it is “the only mask I have ever used that gives an instant flash of beauty to my skin”. She loves its “smoothing and softening effects, the gorgeous texture and aroma” and “the instantly visible glow” she gets every time she uses it! She describes the mask as a totally pleasurable experience and gets so excited about seeing how fresh and glowy it makes her skin, especially after following with Replenish Serum.
Our visual merchandiser and poster girl, Paola loves the tingling sensation as the mask draws circulation to the skin’s surface. She says this amazing mask leaves her skin feeling “refreshed, super smooth to touch and with a radiant glow”.
Brisbane customer Sarah says, “not only does it give your skin an instant glow and soft, vibrant feel for days afterwards, it also smells like an amazing tropical fruit salad!” She is so excited to be adding it back into her regular skincare routine.
“Fresh, fruity and fabulous” are three words that Tammy from Tasmania used to describe our mask – she said it is “like a holiday for your skin” (we just LOVE that!)
How to use Papaya Enzyme Mask…
Mix two level teaspoons with one to two teaspoons of purified water or floral water. Once mixed, smooth the mask over your cleansed skin, being careful to avoid the eye area. Allow this beautiful mask to work its magic for no more than ten minutes (sip some tea, meditate and enjoy some well-earned me time while you wait!). Once it has gelled a bit – but before it dries completely – remove with a damp sponge or cloth and rinse with water. You may feel a tingling sensation and notice a rosy glow when using this mask – this is the active ingredients bringing up impurities and drawing blood-flow to the surface.
For the most beautiful results, we recommend using our Papaya Enzyme Mask once a week. It is suitable for most skin types, but because of its high activity, we recommend a patch test prior to use on sensitive skin.
A secret beauty tip from wellness goddess Rita Balshaw…
Try mixing 1 teaspoon of Papaya Enzyme Mask, 1 teaspoon of neroli or rose water and 1/4 teaspoon of evening primrose oil together in a small dish. Once mixed, massage onto clean, damp skin, allow to set for no more than ten minutes and remove with warm water and a soft facial sponge or cloth. Follow up with a layer of Skin Elixir or Soothe Oil for extra nourishment and radiance!
