Winner - National Retail Association 2004 Rewards for Excellence, Department of Education, Science & Training: Training/Human Resource Initiative Award
This award was designed to recognise excellence in human resource management.
Perfect Potion human resource initiative begins by recruiting team members with the appropriate attitude; identifying their strengths and talents and training for knowledge and skills. While knowledge and skills are important – it is attitude and natural talent that hold the potential for amazing performance.
By ensuring that our team are using their natural talents in their job, we have an emotionally committed and passionate team that has created a genuine engaging experience for our customer. It is this engaging experience that is driving our growth and is the basis of our vision – “To make the Perfect Potion experience the most sought after in the world.”
Perfect Potion also won this award as a result of being acknowledged to have developed excellent training initiatives that have benefited both business operations and customers. The comprehensive training initiative developed for all retail team includes an in depth study of aromatherapy provided by The International Centre of Holistic Aromatherapy (a registered training organisation, established by owner of Perfect Potion, Salvatore Battaglia); comprehensive product knowledge and retail operations training; sales and visual merchandising training and training that ensures each team member has a clear understanding of Perfect Potion’s strategic plan and their role in achieving successful outcomes.
Perfect Potion’s values have created an organisation with passion and commitment. Team training forms an integral part of our values, which are as follows – we love what we do; we deliver with consistency, certainty and quality; we care about our customers and each other; we develop people to their potential; we have integrity in everything we do and we enhance people’s lives.
Winner - National Retail Association 2004 Rewards for Excellence, Bendigo Bank Small Business Award
This Award was designed to specifically recognise Small Businesses (businesses with less than 10 outlets) operating in the retail industry. Perfect Potion won this award as a result of developing a business that consistently met the needs of our desired customer base, by providing an extensive training program for all of team members, developing strategic alliances, and providing a diverse and comprehensive range of educational programs.
Finalist – National Retail Association 2004 Rewards for Excellence, Best Designed Store
Perfect Potion was a finalist in this award as a result of the calming and harmonizing environment we created in our Macarthur Central concept store. Recycled timber has been used throughout the store, to create a warming environment, and is also environmentally friendly and looks tactile and earthy. Wooden stairs and a walkway lead into treatment rooms, and the water feature with natural river stones creates a sense of peacefulness and tranquility whilst the river stones are also used in the front window.
The counter and cupboard fronts of the base units are made from compressed fiber cement to match the colour and texture of the stones of the water feature and the floor is a grey resin which once again matches in with the natural stone effect.
The green colour that we have chosen for the walls, product labels and poster backgrounds also contributes to the fresh leafy effect given by the plants in the window displays and within the store.
